Little Rhymes for Little People

Retired lawyer John Westlake remembers writing poems at an early age and being called upon to recite them for the student teachers at his primary school. With five grandchildren John was inspired to put together a series of rhymes he had written and needed an illustrator to bring the rhymes to life.

Love & Chaos designed and illustrated 22 images for the book Little Rhymes for Little People, which was released in December 2014 through Woodslane Publishing.

Each illustration tells a tale about a different animal or sea creature. L&C aimed to illustrate with humour and capture the imagination of the child reader…a kiwi parachuting…a leopard sipping tea…a rhinoceros eating his lunch.
